Our dog-friendly holiday cottage Le Petit Four in the green heart of France, is located in the village of Lignac.
The village of Lignac is part of the Indre department in the Centre-Val de Loire region, around 300km south of Paris. What's more, it lies just inside the Brenne regional nature park (the land of a thousand lakes) and is part of the Berry region.
The area has been protected since 1989 and registered as a Natura 2000 site.
Le Petit Four lies on the border of three regions and three départements:
- Région Centre, department of Indre
- Poitou-Charentes region, Vienne department
- Limousin region, Haute-Vienne department
These borders are 4 - 5 km from our gîte.
It's well worth exploring these 3 regions.
You can hike endlessly and enjoy the beautiful nature and tranquillity.
It's really impossible to give you a good impression of the region, because our B&B is on the border of three beautiful and diverse regions. The fact is, it's wonderful to discover everything here for yourself. Charming little villages and towns, rolling countryside, rivers and lakes and magnificent castles and chateaux. Being on the border of three departments, with their unique landscapes, is what makes it so attractive. It's well worth visiting all three departments!
